Important:

•Microsoft does not recommend installing SQL Server on a Domain Controller.

•Installing Sage Paperless Construction on a Domain Controller is not recommended.

•SQL Server Express can be used; however, it restricts the size of the Sage Paperless Construction database to 10 GB maximum/1 GB cache and does not equal the performance of SQL Server Standard.

 

 

Single Server Requirements

 

Sage Paperless Construction application server, SQL database server and document repository

 

•Quad core processor

•16-24 GB of RAM

•10k or 15k SAS hard drives in RAID 1/5/6/10 configuration

•Dual partitions:

oOS partition: 200 GB

oData partition: 500 GB-1TB with room to expand

•Hard drive storage:

oApplication server: 200 GB of storage (separate partition from OS)

oSQL server: 150 GB of storage

oDocument repository: 1TB of storage with room to expand

•Gigabit NIC card and network connection

•Windows Server 2025, 2022

•SQL Server 2025, 2022

 

 

Two Server Requirements

 

•Mixed deployment with:

oApplication server and document repository on server 1

oSQL server database on server 2

•Quad core processor

•16 GB of RAM per server

•10k or 15k SAS hard drives in RAID 1/5/6/10 configuration

•Dual partitions on Server 1:

oOS partition: 200 GB

oData partition: 500 GB-1 TB with room to expand

•Hard drive storage

oApplication server: 200 GB of storage (separate partition from OS)

oSQL server: 150 GB of storage

oDocument repository: 1TB of storage with room to expand

•Gigabit NIC card and network connection

•Windows Server 2025, 2022

•SQL Server 2025, 2022

 

 

Fully Distributed Model

 

•Three servers or two servers as well as NAS/SAN

oSage Paperless Construction application server on server 1

oSQL server database on server 2

oDocument repository on server 3, Business Class Network Attached Storage (NAS) or SAN device.

•Quad core processor

•8-16 GB of RAM (16 GB Recommended on SQL)

•10k or 15k SAS hard drives in RAID 1/5/6/10 configuration

•Hard drive storage

oApplication server: 200 GB of storage (separate partition from OS)

oSQL server: 150 GB of storage

oDocument repository: 1 TB of storage with room to expand

•Gigabit NIC and network connection

•Windows Server 2025, 2022

•SQL Server 2025, 2022

 

 

Client Deployment Methods

 

•Local client installation

•Terminal server distribution

•Published apps

•RDS server

•Citrix deployment

 

While possible, deployment of the Client via Client-based VPN is not supported. Paperless Environments is not responsible for performance or connectivity issues for end users accessing a client-based VPN.
