pVault® Help

The Custom Stamps tab is where Administrators can create system-wide "public" stamps and individual users can create their own "private" custom stamps.

 

1.From the ribbon toolbar, click Home.

2.Click User Settings, Home Tab - User Settings - 48x48 - Light Version.
 
The User Settings window displays with the General tab active:

3.Click the Custom Stamps tab.
 
The following window displays:

Creating a New Custom Stamp

 

Custom stamps can be created from two sources:

an existing image file

by entering a personal text message

 

Note:  By clicking the Public check box, Administrators can mark a custom stamp Public, making it available to all pVault® users.

 

 

Custom Stamps from Image Files

 

Custom stamps can be created from existing image files saved in the following supported formats:

.bmp

.gif

.jpg

.png

.tiff

 

1.In the User Settings window, click Add.
 
The following Create Custom Annotation window displays:

2.In the Name field, type the name of the custom stamp.

3.Click the Show Creation Date check box to display the stamp creation date above or below the stamp.

4.Click the Show Added By User check box to display the name of the user who created the stamp above or below the stamp.

5.Administrators have the option of making the stamp available to all pVault® users by clicking the Public check box.
 
Non-Administrators do not have the option of making the stamp available to all pVault® users.
Any stamp created by a non-Administrator can only be viewed by the individual who created it.
 

6.Click the FileSelectorButton to browse and select the image file to import.

7.For the Border, accept the defaults or modify the Color and Weight fields, and adjust the Transparency level of the border surrounding the stamp as appropriate.

8.For the Background, accept the defaults or modify the Color field, and adjust the Transparency level of the stamp background if necessary.

9.If there is any text needed for the custom stamp, enter it in the Annotation Text box.
 
Note: Custom stamp text displays over the custom stamp image.
 

10. Click Save.

 

 

Custom Text Stamps

 

Custom text stamps can be created with any text.
 

1.In the User Settings window, click Add.
 
The following Create Custom Annotation window displays:

2.In the Name field, type the name of the custom stamp.

3.Click the Show Creation Date check box to display above or below the stamp. This is the stamp creation date.

4.Click the Show Added By User check box to display above or below the stamp. This is the name of the user who created the stamp.

5.System Administrators have the option of making the stamp available to all pVault® users by clicking the Public check box.
 
Non-System Administrators do not have the option of making the stamp available to all pVault® users.
Any stamp created by a non-System Administrator can only be viewed by the individual who created it.
 

6.For the Border, accept the defaults or modify the Color and Weight fields, and adjust the Transparency level of the border surrounding the stamp as appropriate.

7.For the Background, accept the defaults or modify the Color field, and adjust the Transparency level of the stamp background if necessary.

8.Enter the text in the Annotation Text box.

9.For the text Font and Color, accept the defaults or modify it as needed.

10. Click Save.
 
The newly created stamp will be listed in the Current Stamps grid:
